Good point... I guess I consider things YA if they're the kind of thing I read when I was in that stage of life. Though you're definitely right - The Princess Bride isn't so much YA is just general fantasy. I blame my repeated viewings and obsession with the film during my middle/high school years.

Mercedes Lackey is good for light, fluffy reading! I don't usually like the way the trilogies/series end, because it feels like she's phoning it in most of the time, but the first books are usually quite fun.
